Wow, that was some round by Frosted Flakes.

I never thought I'd live to see the day when we had 2 busted wedges in the same round.  I guess I can scratch that off my Bucket List now.  As a former $10 Bunch Member reminded me once after my well thrown 7 iron, "What are you so made about, you're not that good anyway."

Wasn't that special???

Too many players today for nicknames.  Bubba just 3 putted #18 so I don't feel so bad that I 3 putted #12 today.  Of course Bubba's 3 putt was for par, mine was for double bogie.

Thanks to Foleymon for helping out today.  That Blind Draw can get hairy at times evidenced today by Crouching Tiger getting shafted again.  I swear it's not on purpose.  Thank goodness someone other than myself was monitoring the proceedings.

Denny Williams is 1 round away from getting his permanent card.

If we're going to have a 2 day Member/Guest it will have to be in September.  The first weekend is out, Labor Day weekend, the second weekend is out, Club Championship so it would need to be the third of fourth weekend.  Email me if you are 90+ % certain you will play and which of the weekends you prefer.  Participation will be limited to 20 teams assuming we get sufficient interest in participating.  Reminder, October 22 - 23 is our "Ryder Cup" themed match with the Crain Crewe.

2-ball (Fill in the blank)

______ was teeing off from the men's tee.  On his downswing, he realized that his wife, ______, was teeing up on the woman's tee directly in front of him.  Unable to stop his swing, he nailed it, and hit her directly in the temple, killing her instantly...

A few days later, ______ got a call from the coroner regarding her autopsy.

Coroner: "______ your wife seemed to have died from blunt force-trauma to the head.  You said you hit a golf ball and hit her in the temple, is that correct?"

______: "Yes, sir, that's correct."

Coroner: "Well, inexplicably I found a golf ball wedged up her butt."

______: "Was it a Titleist 3?

Coroner: "Yes, it was."

______: "That was my mulligan.”

July 17th Results and Updated Money List...

I decided to combine the Results and the Money List into a single post as we had an exceptionally small group of participants this morning.  By the looks of the scores it would appear that the small purse ($60 -$5 for the GF), no Skins, encouraged handicap maintenance rather than the pursuit of excellence.

Thanks to Uncle Beav and That's A Shame for running the show today while I was home making sure that Mrs. Commish's birthday was properly recognized.
