First of all thanks again to my able assistant "That's a Shame". Not only is he a great assistant but he's also a magician. He has the ability to make $5 appear out of thin air. As a result the General Fund is $5 richer.
Yesterday I failed to note under the Skins Winners our own TimTheToolMan (1/$7). I did manage to let him know that I had an envelope with his name on it so maybe I could get 1/2 credit. Hey no one's perfect although I think we have one member who claims to be.
We really were blessed in having the last 2 days in January as pleasant weather wise as they were.
Today was the last day of the quota methodology using your 5 round average. We are going back to a system that was in place back when the $10 Bunch was in it's infancy. You can't go up more than 3 or down more than 2 and your quota will not be increased if you are plus but fail to "cash".
Drum Roll.....
Today we played our first in what I hope to be a succession of the Two Man Team Blind Draw format. Even though I did not make it to the winners circle I thought it was fun. One tweak in the format I'm implementing for next time we play, call it the Papa Smurf Rule, is that in addition to paying the top 2 or 3 teams we will also pay the winning individual $15. It's the least we can do to see they get their money back. If there's a tie they can chip off or arm wrestle for the whole enchilada or split the $15.
